TopicFactor & Remainder Theorem
TypeApply remainder theorem only

  1. (a) Find the remainder when
$$x ^ { 3 } - 2 x ^ { 2 } - 4 x + 8$$ is divided by
  1. \(x - 3\),
  2. \(x + 2\).
    (b) Hence, or otherwise, find all the solutions to the equation $$x ^ { 3 } - 2 x ^ { 2 } - 4 x + 8 = 0$$
