It is given that \(\overrightarrow { O A }\) and \(\overrightarrow { O B }\) are perpendicular.
  1. Calculate the two possible values of \(\alpha\).
  2. Calculate the area of triangle \(O A B\) for the smaller value of \(\alpha\) from part (i).
